Prospective Supplier Registration

The City of Baltimore values its partnerships with businesses that support and serve our community. To do business with the City, organizations must first register as a City supplier. Most registrations are reviewed within two business days.

Getting Started

Before you begin, please review the information below.

Who Should Register

Register for a new account if you:

  • Are doing business with the City of Baltimore for the first time
  • Need to receive payment from the City
  • Plan to respond to bid opportunities
  • Were a supplier before June 14, 2020 and have not received payment since that date.

You already have an account if:

  • Your business is already in our system
  • You have received a City payment, purchase order, or invoice after June 14, 2020

If your business exists in our system and you need access, complete the Supplier Contact Form to request account access.

What You'll Need

Please have the following ready:

  • Tax ID (EIN or SSN)
  • Entity or Individual Name. The business name must exactly match the name listed on Line 1 of the IRS Form W-9.
  • Primary contact email and phone number
  • Business classification information
  • Signed IRS Form W-9

How Registration Works

  1. Enter Your Email Address
  2. Confirm Your Email
    We will send you a message with a confirmation link and code. You can click the link or enter the code in the “Email Confirmation Code” field.
    The code is valid for 24 hours. If it expires, you will need to restart the process.
  3. Start or Continue Your Registration
    After confirming your email, you can:
    • Start a new registration
    • Continue a saved registration using your Registration ID
  4. Save and Return if Needed
    When you begin a registration, your Registration ID will be in the top-right of the screen. Record and save this.
    Use it to return to your application at any time. If you lose it, select “Forgot Registration ID” and we’ll resend it.
  5. Submit Your Registration

Once your registration is complete, submit it for City review.

What Happens Next

After you submit your registration:

  1. You will receive an email confirming your registration status.
  2. If your registration is approved, you can begin completing your supplier tasks.
  3. If additional information is required, you will receive an email indicating that your application is pending, followed by another email with your username and password to access the Supplier Self-Service Portal (Workday).

Note: Most registrations are reviewed within two business days.
