Loch
Raven Dam Rehabilitation
2002 – 2005
Loch Raven Dam Rehabilitation is Complete!!!
Late in September of 2005, the City celebrated the
completion of Loch Raven Dam! The project has been
delivered on budget, and five months ahead of schedule!

Rehabilitating Loch Raven Dam was critical to the
public health of nearly one million people in the
region who get their drinking water from the Loch
Raven Reservoir. Now the dam will protect this precious
resource through the worst of storms.

The Department of Public Works is dedicated to providing
the citizens of Baltimore and surrounding counties
with safe, dependable water and sanitation services.
Recent events demonstrate that, while virtually invisible,
these systems are vital to our well being. Completion
of the Loch Raven Dam Rehabilitation is just one of
many examples of how the City works for all of us.
